About You

Candidate sought for Vice President, Quant Developer role within Galaxy's algorithmic trading technology team. The candidate should have prior work experience in Java and in data science, and should have a deep interest in working in and learning about algorithmic crypto trading.

On a given day at Galaxy, you will:

  • Perform analytical work to diagnose and improve trading performance
  • Build and maintain technology systems that cover TCA and order analytics
  • Build and maintain technology systems that cover algorithmic trading
  • Provide production support and DevOps
  • Have direct measurable impact on Galaxy’s front office electronic trading business

You’ve worked hard for:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, engineering, or other technical field
  • Proficient (2+ years’ experience) with core java, including working knowledge of collections, their implementation, and their optimization; garbage collection; JVM; multithreading
  • Proficient with core statistics / data science, including inference, regression, classification, sampling, optimization
  • Knowledge of order performance analysis, TCA, slippage, and benchmarking

You rock at:

  • Experience with JUnit, unit testing, and integration testing
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Docker and AWS APIs
  • Experience working on electronic trading systems
  • Experience with parsing web APIs for data
  • Knowledge of market structure and market data
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques such as feature engineering

Role:

We-™re hiring a Director of Customer Support (CS) to help us bring Bitcoin payments to the world.

The Director will lead our CS function, supported by our CS Lead, CS Project Manager, and dedicated Representatives, and will engage with teams across the company. As a leader, the Director will establish a vision and goals for the team, while strengthening day-to-day service delivery in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive CS delivery, workforce management, and operational excellence
  • Create & execute CS roadmap, partnering with Product and other stakeholders
  • Deliver data-driven performance insights to leadership; own adjustments needed
  • Manage CS department budget
  • Negotiate vendor outsourcing to scale CS operations globally
  • Serve as a manager for multiple direct reports

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience building, leading and scaling multi-lingual, multi-channel CS teams
  • Fintech/financial services background, with the understanding of disputes, fraud, and compliance
  • Understanding of how to leverage and implement CS best practices and technologies
  • Demonstrated success hiring and developing leaders and teams in multiple functional areas and locations
  • Devotion to achieving extremely high performance and quality targets
  • Outstanding communication, relationship, and influencing skills

Strike is a remote-first company, paying competitive compensation based on market and location.

  • Salary range: $150 - 175k
