About The Role:

The Smart Contracts team is looking for engineers who can contribute to the Hedera services on the backend in Java and web3 APIs and tools consumed by front end community applications in Javascript/Typescript.
  • Develop various aspects of the Hedera Hashgraph Distributed Ledger Platform
  • Implement and enhance the Java based smart contract services on the Hedera network nodes that exposes EVM features
  • Implement and enhance the EVM and web3 focused API services and tools
  • Design and implement Ethereum Remote Procedure Call APIs
  • Develop sample applications to demonstrate value and strength of the platform. Sample applications will include web, mobile, and embedded development
  • Investigate E2E smart contract transaction execution details between the ledger and the API services
  • Be a strong and proficient hands-on programmer
  • Spend 80% of your time designing, coding, and testing
Skills Needed:
  • Experience writing and debugging smart contracts for an EVM based ledger
  • Experience with distributed applications and web3 tools written in JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Good understanding of the Ethereum blockchain and ecosystem
  • Experience with blockchain (e.g., Bitcoin or Ethereum) protocol development is a plus
  • Expertise in the Java programming language and its ecosystem of libraries and tools
  • Deep knowledge of and experience with the Java VM, covering its strengths and weaknesses

About The Role:

The Protocol Engineering team at Pagoda is responsible for the infrastructure of Layer 1 Blockchain, NEAR Protocol. We focus on building scalable, performant, and reliable infrastructure to actualize visions of NEAR Protocol, such as the Blockchain Operating System (BOS).

THE ROLE


Due to continued growth, we’re looking to recruit a Frontend Software Engineer to join our IT team. You’ll be responsible for building the ‘client-site’ of our web exchange for fan tokens.

You should be able to translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.


This role is available for all qualified candidates based in Europe. Remote working arrangements will be provided either based on a Full-time employment contract or consultancy agreement depending on the tax residency within the EU.


As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will be part of a Feature team (Squad) consisting of a Team Lead, a Product Owner, and a couple of Frontend, Backend, and QA Engineers. The Feature Team collaboratively works together to deliver features, from inception to implementation, across our products following the SCRUM methodology.


Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership with a high degree of integrity
  • Working on various evolving web products utilizing Javascript as the main coding language with React framework.
  • Improving existing features and building new features for the product.
  • Researching new approaches on how to make products better, faster and more secure; sharing these findings with the rest of the Frontend team to have an open discussion on the pros and cons and to learn from each other.
  • Providing technical feasibility and estimations for tasks.
  • Ensuring correct code implementation with quality, stability, and readability in mind.
