About You

About the role

We are looking for a Hyperledger Fabric Developer, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting a distributed blockchain-based network. Your primary responsibility will be analyzing requirements, designing blockchain technology around a certain business model, and building and launching a blockchain network.

Responsibilities

• Work with the executive and engineering leadership teams to establish, execute and achieve business objectives.

About this Role

We are seeking a Lead software engineer to grow our core indexing team. The team’s mission is to extract data from blockchains, combine fine-grained data into higher level pieces of information, and make the information available to end users via different Figment products.

We are looking for a skilled backend engineer with strong communication skills who is passionate about discovering internal mechanics of blockchains. In this role, you will be owning your projects, collaborating with the team to propose and implement architectural decisions, participating in designs, and working closely with parties that consume indexed data.

This is a full-time remote position, for candidates in North American time zones (+1/-1). Ideal candidates are comfortable working in an unstructured environment, dealing with uncertainty, minimal direction, and working across a range of projects.

What you will be doing

• Refining requirements and translating it to a well-scoped and actionable technical plan
• Researching and comprehending internal design of a blockchain through public documentation, open source repositories and limited data on block explorers

HOW you will contribute

You'll join a wide department of more than 130 software engineers, but as a Salesforce expert, you'll be part of a small specialized team of 3 people (2 software engineers - including yourself, and a Salesforce admin).

As a Salesforce developer, you'll spend most of your time (70%) working on projects to build and expand our CRM capabilities and the rest (30%) on optimizing the existing tooling and processes.

You'll be part of the squad which is the main point of contact from a technical standpoint for the Salesforce developments between the Product, Data, and Ops teams.

On a daily basis, your will work with:

- The Salesforce squad, which is already composed of one Salesforce architect and reinforced with external Salesforce consultants ;

- Business owners from Marketing, Sales, Onboarding and Support, Finance, etc. ;

- A dedicated squad to scale Pennylane business processes and internal tools.
