We're hiring a senior engineer at Gower Street for a 3 or 4 days/week role. We're 100% remote and looking for someone eligible to work in the UK to join us.

Gower Street is the industry leader in predicting the global box office. Our numbers are quoted by mainstream media and our systems are used by the majority of big studios out there. We're also a really small team with a switched-on approach to how we work and stuff like trust and flexibility.

We're hoping to bring somebody in who has an eye for quality in a "zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance" sort of way and is able to go in and deliver new features while improving both existing systems and how we go about our work. Working with Linktree's engineering team to ensure our platform runs, securely, quickly, and efficiently at a rapidly increasing scale and velocity. There is a strong belief at Linktree that Devops is a culture and not an individuals position, as siloing that responsibility would go against the core purpose of Devops.

Our platform is on AWS so we will call this core requirement #1 but we do look for engineers with a diverse skill set. If you've previously worked in technologies like Node, PHP, PostgreSQL or REST API, you'll have a better understanding of our wider code base. AWS certifications aren't the holy grail for us either, nothing against them but we know plenty of great engineers haven't had the time to sit those certifications.

Our CTO Mitch Malone is also fully remote so you could be anywhere in Australia really. We are mostly based in Melbourne but currently have engineers in Perth, Tasmania, Newcastle, Queensland, country Victoria, and Ireland. We are still all working from home due to COVID but plan on being a mixed remote and on-site company once we are in "the new normal".

What is your dev environment like?

Linktree has grown a lot and quite quickly, which means our structures and processes aren't perfect, yet. That should be ok with you and if anything, appeal to you so you can contribute to the design of those systems.

We are agile and we expect our Engineers to do requirements analysis and work closely with Product Managers and Designers on developing user stories. Our Engineering team writes unit, integration, and e2e tests and we are developing a strong Devops environment - you'll be a big part of this too.

Rawpixel is a UK business, but our main design and IT teams are based in Bangkok, Thailand. Description

It takes a software expert to be entrusted with the decisions behind our award-winning software. Someone who can make high-level design choices efficiently, with a consideration for technical standards. Our Software Architect can skilfully put all the details in place before the testing begins.

• Guide and take part in defining Vonage's technology direction and shape our portfolio of frameworks, technologies and practices enabling the next growth stage of our business
• Define and drive the evolution of our core platform and the shared services portfolio enabling our engineering teams to deliver at scale
• Work closely with development and operations teams to evolve and improve our service in a DevOps based continuous delivery environment
• Be a strong communicator, able to coordinate and balance the needs of multiple functions and share best practices widely
• Have strong refactoring skills, particularly in evolving large scale software platforms
• Be hands on, happy to pair with developers and testers, ready to research and code prototypes

THE PERSON

You need to be a strategic thinker, with a high level of accuracy and a complete commitment to deadlines. In addition, you’ll be a knowledge sharer and every bit of insight you pick up, you’ll pass down to the team and keep processes running smoothly. Communication really is key here. You’ll have:

• A proven track record with both traditional and microservices architectures, messaging frameworks and API centric design approaches
• Be familiar with key architectural and design concepts such as views and perspectives, design patterns, domain driven design
• Have strong development skills in at least two languages, including at least one of (C#, Java, Javascript, C++, GoLang)
• Have a strong background in delivering Software as a Service (SaaS) in a cloud-based environment, preferably on AWS
• Be a strong advocate for user and developer experience and well versed in the ecosystem around web development frameworks like React or Angular
• Understand managing data at scale in a distributed environment

Hubstaff is quickly becoming one of the leading solutions in the evolving time tracking space.

We are looking for a talented server-side architect to join our passionate development team. You will help tackle challenging problems and assist with the ongoing development of our platform.

We’re a 100% remote team, that takes care to do good upfront design (specs and wireframes) before starting to code and have a lot of fun working on the project. We also spend the time to write unit tests to ensure we have great code coverage.

There are a lot of challenging issues and features for a talented Ruby on Rails developer to tackle. You’ll be working alongside the rest of the team and collaborating on feature development.

In this position you will help tackle challenging problems and assist with scaling the service to keep up with our fast growth.

The position will report directly to our CTO and work closely with our other engineers. We have projects that require a full-stack skillset but that go deep on back-end architecture and implementation.

You’ll be able to work 100% remotely.
