About the Role

We are looking for a tenacious, passionate, creative, software-driven individual to guide the design and development of our payments software. 

• OBJECTIVE #1 Take on a project and see it to its end.

Potential Obstacles: We work by 6 week cycles (similar to sprints) where it can be easy to lose focus or forget to plan ahead to ensure the successful completion of your projects.

Actions: Understand the value of a successful cycle completion and use your tenacity to carry each project to the very end.
Results: Your project completion numbers in Jira are stellar and you have concentration available for the handful of projects on your plate. 

• OBJECTIVE #2 Work as a synchronous team in a remote environment.

Potential Obstacles: Working remote has many personal and team-based challenges from timezone differences, to communication and trust of your colleagues.
Actions: Develop deep working relationships with your colleagues to know what they’re working on, and how to support each other.
Results: The team culture is strong, Rebilly's bigger projects efficiently move forward.

• OBJECTIVE #3 Help your colleagues raise their skills with thoughtful code reviews and feedback on ideas. 

Potential Obstacles: Your day will be filled with your own projects and priorities, and offering feedback to a remote team from afar can be intimidating. 
Actions: Prioritize your schedule and share your unique knowledge and experience to help make your team stronger. 
Results: Your team is more precise, creative, and their knowledge is deepened with your help. 

Responsibility

• What will you manage? 
  Each teammate receives a role within a small team per cycle that can include a handful of small projects, one large project, or staying outside of the cycle to support clients, bugs, and cycle planning. Along with that, you’ll be responsible for ensuring adherence to programming and documentation policies, code standards, testing, release, and reporting updates on your projects.
• What will you contribute to? 
  You will contribute to code reviews, generating projects for each cycle, feedback for ideas (including the ideas for other areas of the company), and hiring new teammates in the Product Team.
• What will you support? 
  Outside of generally supporting your teammates in the Product Circle, Rebilly is an open environment where everyone is welcome in every area of the company. You are welcome to support any project you feel called to participate in. 
• How much support per project?
  Teams working in a cycle can be 1, 2, or sometimes 4 people. You will lean on your cycle teammates to support the completion of the cycle, as well as receive support from teammates supporting the cycle. You can ask as many teammates to join your project as you need to complete the mission.

• Respond to either first line support or end user software queries via chatbot, email, discord, etc.
• Help users with solving the technical issues, or preparing a detailed description of the error for the 3rd line of support
• Analysis of recurring problems by working with the development team, technical writers, 1st line support.
• Preparation of proposals for changing the testing system, monitoring, updating documentation, etc.
• Maintaining tickets in Jira.Control of compliance with deadlines for processing requests.
• Inform users about the process of solving their problems.
• Create and update the internal product knowledge base for 1st and 2nd line support.

• High level of communication and customer focus
• 2+ years experience with blockchain related technologies, preferably with testing blockchain and dApp products
• Ability to analyze problems, find their root cause and explain it to both technicians and users
• Understanding of web2, web3 and basic blockchain technology.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably python/typescript. (bonus for web3.js or analogues)
• Proficiency in Jira, Devtools console, Postman, TestRail (or equivalent)
• Proactive and self-driven to be successful working in a remote environment

We're a design and innovation studio that partners with exciting early stage tech start ups on branding, web and product design. We work either in projects or by building pop-up teams that fit seamlessly into our clients business for a fixed period to accelerate growth. For this project we're putting together a 5 person product design team for a fast growing SaaS product. Our goal will be to smoothly collaborate with their in-house team and work through several sprints, shipping features and building out their browser based app.

It will be a 6 full time month contract and you'll be working as part of a 5-person squad which we'll be running in parallel with their in-house development team. 

You should be an engineer who is looking to work in innovative ways and be part of a fast-growing tech team, who is start-up minded and excited by work efficiently and fast, who can take the initiative and deliver outstanding work, who can innovate and support the client's technology. 

We are seeking someone who has had experience in most of their current stack, who has worked with social API integration and has a willingness to change and adapt.

You will work with:

• A mono-repo architecture built primarily in NX and Angular deployed on AWS.
• A state management layer using both NGXS and an Apollo client.
• Both REST API’s and GraphQL data layers integrated into a real-time application.
• Integrations to social API’s and data visualisation libraries.
• TDD and peer-reviewing enabling you to do frequent yet resilient deployments
• Cross-functional teams collaborating closely with QA, design, back-end and a product manager

Your responsibilities will be:

• Get to know the products and working on all aspects of front-end development.
• Be a productive member of a cross-functional team and build, deploy and support our product growth.
• Work with and improve on best practices including levels of quality and monitoring.
• Work with tech leads and head of technology to shape the future of technology, including contributing to the technical road map for the front-end.
• Attend technical workshops, architectural design sessions, and feel comfortable contributing.
• Think creatively to provide innovative solutions to problems.
• Be an active participant in agile ceremonies, including planning and estimating.
• Continue to learn and grow with the team.

Skills and attributes we consider essential for this role include:

• Good experience in Angular 6+
• Good understanding of TypeScript
• Quality-driven and focused on attention to detail

Skills, attributes and experience that would be nice to have:

• Experience working with Cypress, Storybook, and GraphQL
• A history and preference in working in agile environments.
